I. Prepared Speech Session

1.      BM#1          : The Ice Breaker
         Speaker     : TM Rere
         Title           : “Harmony in Diversity


TM Rere speech tells about her experience living in a community with many different backgrounds. She had once schooled in a Christianity school where she was the only Muslim student in there. That gave her a challenge for blending with other students with a different culture and background. As time goes by, she realized that diversity is a beautiful thing in life, because diversity will make us learn and understand other people’s culture and the beauty of it.

2.      BM#7          : Research Your Topic
         Speaker     : TM Antonius Wijanarko
         Title           : “Koko vs. Koko


TM Koko speech tells about the comparison between Koko the famous Gorilla and Antonius Koko. He made the comparison from the birth certificate, the physical differences and the achievement they both get. At the final of his speech, he asked to all of us whether to choose who is better between Antonius Koko and Koko the gorilla. The answer is Koko the Gorilla, because Koko the Gorilla always think to be a better gorilla and she doesn’t compare herself with other human or animals.

3.      BM#10        : Inspire the Audience
         Speaker     : TM Rivai Budihartono
         Title           : “The Most Powerful Tool in the World


TM Rivai speech tells about how words can be use as the most powerful tool to change or to move people. Words can makes people happy, sad, in love, tears, motivated, and many thing else. Words also can control people in heading their paths. The moral of his speech is it tells us that each of us has this powerful tool, but as a human being, we have to use it wisely, because we can lift up or crash down people’s life from the words we use.

TM Rivai received his “Competent Communicator” title and awards for his achievement in completing all the projects in Competent Communicator Basic Manual. Congratulation TM Rivai !

4.      AM#1          : Humorously Speaking – Warm Up your Audience
         Speaker     : Nitesh Gianchandani, CC
         Title           : “The Pin in a Haystack


TM Nitesh speech tells about his experience in listening to other people story. When he was firstly attending the college, he met with the old-homeless-man near his campus. This old man shared many stories, from philosophical to his personal life. He learned many things when he listened to the old-homeless-man. The moral of the story is that we must listen to other people story because not only it gave us many learning point but also it will comfort them that there is someone who wants to listen to their story.

5.      AM#2          : Speaking to Inform – Resources for Informing
         Speaker     : Martha Octavia, CC
         Title           : “How to Survive and Enjoy Your Euro Trip


TM Martha informed us about how to keep survive and enjoy the Euro Trip. She began her speech by provide us some information that might be useful to prepare yourself for Euro trip, from how to find a hostel and even how to plan your accommodation in Europe. TM Martha gave us a message that it is important to prepare your trip in Europe because this will makes you enjoy the trip itself without worrying on getting lost or getting robbed.

IV. Our next meeting will be on Monday, November 10th 2014

On the next meeting, we will have our regular meeting on Monday November 10th in PBTaxand Auditorium at 7PM onwards.

We would like to give our appreciation and gratitude to our TOM and GE who arrange the meeting and role position, our VPE, our VPM, our SAA and all the role takers who have run the meeting smoothly.

We also would like to give our appreciation and gratitude to all of the members and guests who has spent their time to come and participate in the meeting. Thank you also for visiting Toastmaster DTM Sukardi who has volunteered to be the evaluator for the prepared speaker.

Last but not least, we would like to extend our gratitude to PBTaxand for allowing us to use the auditorium and other facilities so we can conduct the meeting.
