Speaker
: TM Herling Parikesit
Title :
“Instrumentally Monumental”
TM Herling speech tells about the
connection between music and Toastmaster’s meeting. In a music band, mostly
there are at least 3 positions: guitarist, bassist, and drummer. Bassist has a
role to keep the music balance, just like a ballot counter in Toastmaster. The
guitarist role is to lead the music, as same as the TOM in Toastmaster’s
meeting, who lead the meeting. And the last one is drummer, who keep the tempo
of the music, as same as the Timer in Toastmaster’s meeting. He then connect
his comparison to our life, that is we should balance our life like the
bassist, don’t hold yourself back like the guitarist, and keep the tempo like a
drummer.
