The ‘A’ Word is about the importance of giving ‘Appreciation’. TM Dinda shared her experiences when she was feeling appreciated and unappreciated, especially in her work life. She ended her speech by encouraging the audience to always appreciate other people to promote a more positive and more productive work environment.

"Ting Mama Dehua..."
TM Ferry invite us to look back with him to his childhood, his love-hate relationship with his mother, and how it shapes him to what he become today. He ended his speech with one of his biggest regret, and encourages audience to express more love and gratitude to their mother.

Speech Title:
"Rock the Boat"
TM Ratu Gumelar talked about humorous speeches. She opening with highlighting a humorous speech is dependent on the audience and their humour and reference sphere and reminded the audience to know the Who, Where and When of the audience. She continued with the What, the content. Several secrets to humour includes twists, puns, exaggerations, rule of three, and change in context, and to choose a topic and decide an attitude towards it at the drafting stage. Her last point was on the How or delivery where she demonstrated the power of vocal variety, facial expressions, and body language in creating laughter.

We will have no meeting on July 4th for holiday Eid Al-Fitr 1437 H. We will have our next meeting, along with a rehearsal for humorous, evaluation, and tall tales contest for the contest officers and contestants, on July 11st at Martabak Boss, Sarinah (https://goo.gl/maps/CCyDg6xfCZq).
We will continue having regular meeting on July 18th at WTC, 18th floor, Mercantile Athletic Club, HSBC building, Sudirman (https://goo.gl/maps/6uKEjGoag6x).
Soon, we will be having the Humorous Contest (25 July), Evaluation Contest (1 August), and Tall Tales Contest (1 August). We kindly encourage you to participate as a contestant, officer, or audience during these dates.
We would like to thank all the members and guests who have come and to thank PB Taxand for the wonderful venue. We would also like to give special appreciation and gratitude to the TOM And GE, who have successfully prepare the meeting and assign meeting roles to members and also to all the speakers and role takers for helping to run the meeting smoothly.
