Prepared Speech Session
1. Basic Manual # 2: Organize Your Speech
Speaker: TM Edho Pramana
Speech Title: "Shifting definition of happiness"
TM Edho talked about the shifting definition of happiness between our era, our parents’ era and our grandparents’ era, caused by new environment and values due to economic growth and globalization. He then talked about how to face those changes with a better attitude. Happiness is about the reality exceeding expectations, thus we need to set realistic, not hyperbolic, expectations.  We need to then struggle to be successful. He also highlighted that we should ignore the ‘bragging’ that happens in social media, should not be taunted and envious by someone else’s achievements. He concluded saying that what matters is not the problems which came up but how we dealt with the problems.

2. Basic Manual # 5: Your Body Speaks
Speaker: TM Fhardian Putra
Speech Title: "Control them, do not let them control you"
TM Putra talked about the benefits from playing video games. He highlighted the benefits of video games. The first benefit is that it can be used to release or express negative emotions, such as anger, in a less destructive manner. He also emphasized that games can shape and sharpen analytical, organizational, management and planning skills, as many games forces the player to make quick decisions in a short time span. The final benefit is that games can shape good character and persistence. They teach the players to start over again after every failure. He then reminded the audience that video games can give many benefits as long as we can control its usage and not get addicted.
