1. Basic Manual # 1: The Ice breaker
Speaker: TM Noverisky Tri Putra
Speech Title: "Hellboy”
TM Nover opened his speech introducing Hellboy, a superhero descended from hell that’s destined to destroy the world. The story then went on with Hellboy almost fulfilling his destiny of destroying the world before breaking off his horns and breaking out of his supposed destiny. The movie ended with the narrator asking what make a person a person and answering that a person is who they are because of choice. A person does an action or inaction because of their choice and feelings, not because another person told them to or forced them in anyway. They have independency to decide their path or action. TM Nover concluded by emphasizing that everything begins with a choice and ends with a choice.

2. Speaker: TM Ramasdin Saragih
Speech Title: "Parents Need Love”
TM Ramasdin opened asking the audience why they love their parents. He told the story of his mother in law, an 80 years old lady who lives alone. TM Ramasdin’s son went to stay at his grandma’s place but was rejected because she was in a bad mood. He came crying to TM Ramasdin about how his grandmother doesn’t love him. He reminded his son about how his grandma was caring to him when he was younger. Next time his son came, she was in a jubilant mood and they shared a happy moment. TM Ramasdin’s mother in law collapsed and he couldn’t be able to come. TM Ramasin concluded reminding us that we should love our parents, no matter what they say to us, cause they still love us underneath.

3. Basic Manual # 10: Inspire Your Audience
Speaker: TM Maria Yulianti Sinaga
Speech Title: "Learning From the Ant”
After graduating, TM Maria looked for a job. She took a programming job despite not majoring in it and had to take time learning. Her second job was a hectic one and all she did was learn as much as possible to move to another company. Her next one got her a boss that would always check and scold her. Her boss would ask her to do something entirely new which she had to put effort into. An ant is a small but very diligent insect, they always work and gather food for the future. Learning from the ant, she went and learned very advanced knowledge and met her boss’s expectation, enough to be trusted to manager her team. She appreciates that pressure, challenge and perseverance has strengthened her. TM Maria concluded that we should learn from the ant and work presistently as it’s our ability to survive pressure and difficulty that would bring us success.

4. Basic Manual # 10: Inspire Your Audience
Speaker: TM Reza Rizki Pratama
Speech Title: "How to Get My CC”
TM Reza was a man who wasn’t used to communicating with people, especially in a public setting. He found Toastmasters to try to help him overcome that and learned the encouraging atmosphere. He joined as a member and successfully did his first speech. On his next one, he felt like he was not prepared and cancelled his speech. He felt guilty and hid himself from the club for months, trying to give different excuses to not give a speech. He realized that those who joined at the same time as him had received their Competent Communicator award and that he had lost his time running away and not facing his fear. He recommended the audience to face their fear and push themselves out of their comfort zone, and to consult with the Executive Committee should they find any difficulty in Toastmaster. TM Reza concluded reinforcing the audience to never feel afraid, move forward, a become a better person.
