My 1st meeting in '09
After being absent from Toastmasters activities for the last three months, last Monday night, 12 January, I went to the regular meeting of my Club: Jakarta Toastmasters Club.
21 people consisting of 15 Club members, 3 guests, and 3 visiting Toastmasters including the Winner of District 51 Humorous Speech Contest Roger from KL, although the traffic condition was quite bad due to the rain that poured all over Jakarta and vicinity since morning. The meeting was enjoyable as usual, thanks to the ToM (Toastmaster of the Meeting/MC) Thomas Alfiandes who led like Tukul Arwana in the TV show Bukan Empat Mata, TTM Etta who persuaded 7 speakers to speak impromptu passionately and GE Astuty who led her evaluation team skillfully.
Afterwards Matthew delivered his BM9 speech, evaluated by Robert, followed by a wonderful humorous speech by Roger.
All in all the meeting was good, which makes me want to come again next time.
